Hana, we won't forget your single-hearted attempt toward tennis! Never! Ever!

1980 US Open, Hana Mandlikova

Hana, "thank you for everything" is the only phrase that can exactly express our heart to you. Thank you so much, Hana. We've been straight-up happy with all the inspiration you gave us through your GUTSY tennis. We're like twins. We feel the same way on everything you felt on court. It's like when you lost the game, we lost our mind, when you won the game, we won our days! See? You really really made our days.

Thank you, Hana.
You are always with us, in our heart. Always...

You Should Read This! It Is Awesome! - Bleacher Report (27th, Sep, 2009)

... Austin competed in one of the golden eras of the women’s tour. As well as Evert, she encountered Martina Navratilova, Evonne Goolagong, and also shared the stage at the beginning of the '80s with a young star from Czechoslovakia, Hana Mandlikova.
.
And here, on the other side of the net playing for Team Cash, was that same adversary.
.
Less than a year separates the two women, but Mandlikova is now a little less sprightly about the court than Austin.
.
In her prime, Mandlikova won four Grand Slam singles titles, her U.S. Open victory coming in 1985. She also won the U.S. doubles title with Navratilova in 1989.
.
She always had a freshness and youthfulness to her look and her play, but never seemed to develop the tough carapace that may have yielded more titles to her abundant all-court talent.
.
That lack of toughness, verging on lack of confidence, together with back problems, brought retirement by the age of 28.
.
After years of coaching other talent to success—notably Jana Novotna—it’s a pleasure to see the still-freckled face of Mandlikova gracing tennis once more.
.
Most, this year, did not recognise her. In time, we must hope they will.

God... Somebody help me! I'm dying to go to US Open to cheer for my Hana Mandlikova! Hana lost her mixed and doubles matches yesterday (10, Sep, 2009). Bad luck... Thanks, my friend, Andrew, for letting me know Hana's match schedule and this beautiful photo. Andrew, who's a huge fan of Martina Navratilova, and I allied together to cheer for Hana, because Martina isn't playing for US Open this time unfortunately.
.
Hana lost yesterday, but never mind. We don' t have time to let us down. Let's keep on watching and cheering her. We have next game. We are pretty sure that she will get a better luck.

New VIDEO! "Hana's Hurrah!!! US Open Final 1985" (Japanese Ver.)

Thank you so much, Hana and Martina!
We grew up watching you two, and it was our whole-hearted happiness. You never know how much you inspied us to follow our dreams. I love Czech-born tennis athletes more than ever and the best of all!

The photos uploaded below are the ones I took from the TV at home in Japan. Almost 24 years ago! God. I feel like I'm old...
I can remember the camera I had then was so DUMB! It was totally a toy camera which my father got from some little golf tournament or somewhere. I couldn't afford to get better one by myself. 'Cos I was a student so that I didn't have money.
.
Obviously the photos taken by me were deadly poor, like, those in some hot tennis magazines. Dumb camera lacked functions of adjusting exposure, forcusing, avoiding camera shaking, and so on. I wished I had money! Oh, you should never ever copy them, 'cos it's too dumb to show them in public!
But I can say these Hana photos were definately made me happy, encouraged me, inpired me every day. I was just HAPPY that she won and I could share the very moment in real time even though there was a long distance from Flushing Meadows NY. I used to file and carry them to everywhere I go. These dumbs are incredibly precious to me. It still never ends shining!

Did you see her ultra shot? That's what Hana is! She beat Martina with this super miracle shot! I, this poor English speaker, have no words how to explain this superstar. Totally no words!

So HOT that she made you speechless. Knocked you down with her ever beautiful figure and ... full of GUTZ!!! I love Hana punching the air.

God, I miss her...

Look at Hana's So-Much Lovely Smile!!!

Who said that Hana greeted peole with stern face? After defeating Pam & Mary-Joe 5-7 6-4 6-4 in '89 US Open Doubles Final, Hana, with her doubles partner Martina Navratilova, gave a wonderful winners, which pleased all the fans so much. I wish I was there.

Look at her lovely smile! She had hard look on her face while playing match, but turned to be a holy angel after match. You should keep it in mind!
