Can You Put Up With Being Stared By These Top Queens?

This photograph of three Wimbledon tennis Queens (Chris Evert, Virginia Wade, Martina Navratilova) during the women's Centenary presentation at last year's Championships was taken by contributing photographer Roy Peters and won for him the Courage Sports Photograph of the year award. Roy has also received an award in the nationwide Canon/UK Press Gazette Sports Photography competition. ("Tennis" May, 1985)

After winning US Open (won against Martina!!!), Hana did this great job with her team mates. Czechoslovakia won its third consecutive championships in Federation Cup held in Nagoya, Japan. God... I really wanted to go see this tournament, because I was in Tokyo at the time. But I couldn't make it... it was a big bummer...

Anyway, Czech got it that I was so relieved. Some stupid media said that if Martina and Chris Evert were there for US team, Czech would never make it. Oh, excuse me! "Then you never knew the real picture of Hana and Czech tennis! Czech has Hana and Sukova. You dont know how much they mean to it. They explode like a dynamite in the court, don't you know that? Just open your eyes and never go away from it."

The photos uploaded below are the ones I took from the TV at home in Japan. Almost 24 years ago! God. I feel like I'm old...
I can remember the camera I had then was so DUMB! It was totally a toy camera which my father got from some little golf tournament or somewhere. I couldn't afford to get better one by myself. 'Cos I was a student so that I didn't have money.
.
Obviously the photos taken by me were deadly poor, like, those in some hot tennis magazines. Dumb camera lacked functions of adjusting exposure, forcusing, avoiding camera shaking, and so on. I wished I had money! Oh, you should never ever copy them, 'cos it's too dumb to show them in public!
But I can say these Hana photos were definately made me happy, encouraged me, inpired me every day. I was just HAPPY that she won and I could share the very moment in real time even though there was a long distance from Flushing Meadows NY. I used to file and carry them to everywhere I go. These dumbs are incredibly precious to me. It still never ends shining!

[Video] "She Is Gutsy! - Hana Mandlikova USO Final 1985"

Did you see her ultra shot? That's what Hana is! She beat Martina with this super miracle shot! I, this poor English speaker, have no words how to explain this superstar. Totally no words!

So HOT that she made you speechless. Knocked you down with her ever beautiful figure and ... full of GUTZ!!! I love Hana punching the air.

God, I miss her...

Hana with Dad and Mommy in Early Summer of 85! I Love This Loveliest Smile! Just Love This Angel!

I 've seen so many Hana's photos in my life, but I can say this Hana's smile is no doubt the loveliest one I've seen so far! The pictures were scaned from Sports Illustrated magazine May 1985. When she was with her family, she showed us unbelievably beautiful smile. Angel Smile! Totally innocent! It proves how much she felt cozy being with them, cared about them, loved them than anything else in the world.
Don't you reckon Hana takes after her father (Vilém Mandlík) so much? I know that Hana inherited top athlete genes from this former oliympian. If she was born as a man, she'd be totally as hot as her father. God, If I could have a wish come true, I'd totally want her to marry me (laugh). I wish her both parents are in good health.

And I love her mommy's happy grin (her name is also Hana)... Isn't it lovely? Having had her daughter as a super tennis player, she must have been so proud but had a lot of worries at the same time. I know it so well, because my mom worries me, cares about me, devotes me, even when I'm buried in my work too much to pay any attention to her. She loves me selflessly all the time. That's what the world's mommies are! And I'm sure Hana is doing the same thing to her baby twins.

Hana hugs her nephew, Jan.
